Bronxey Typeface
I created Bronxey in my senior year of college while in the class: Digital Resurrections in Typography. I found a type specimen from a Thanksgiving menu found in Germany from 1908. The dramatic contrast in the letterforms drew me into creating 1 weight and 5 styles that are reminiscent of Art Deco signage. The final styles for this typeface are Bronxey Sans-Serif Regular, Bronxey Sans-Serif Outline, Bronxey Serif, Bronxey Serif Outline, and Bronxey Sans Serif Inline.
Toscano Letterforms
Another model name design for Litespeed Titanium Bicycles, this time for their newest gravel bike: the Toscano. These letterforms were inspired by both the cycling tours in Italy, and the magnificent type that can be found there.
Spezia Letterforms
Working for Litespeed Bikes, I was able to design the model name typeface for their newest road bike: The Spezia. Given that the name chosen for the bike was after La Spezia, Italy, I used several pieces of Italian type for inspiration for the final design. Through lots of testing and refining, the finished product sits on the top tube of each Spezia road bike that is produced today. Check out litespeed.com to see more of their incredible line of bikes!
Bialy Slab Serif Typeface
I created Bialy Slab in my sophomore year of college during the spring of 2020. I was tasked with researching local businesses who could use a type redesign. I chose Big Blue Bagel in Auburn, Alabama and created a slab serif typeface to be used as headers on their website, menus and other promotional materials.
This project was completed my sophomore year of college and was my first introduction to typography. I was tasked with researching different typefaces and their history to find a commonality with which to design a poster. I chose Baskerville, Didot, and Bodoni and called out specific characteristics that ties them together but also sets them apart from one another.
